The one where Anah surprises Syukri

hi! guess what! (i guess u know what by looking at the picture but i gonna tell u anyways) i finally did a birthday surprise celebration for mr fiancé! been wanting to do at least one surprise for him before we get hitched next year. i know this year is a pretty busy year for us but, why not right? since i don't have any wedding shoot that weekends and just nice it was syuk's 2 days off, it was a perfect date to plan a surprise!

my initial plan was to go glamping but.. remember he just did that for me last year? so i dump that plan and choose plan b. which is finding a hotel or airbnb and just decorate the place by myself. it is possible right? i started planning in late november last year. yes i know a bit too early but seriously, i have to. i thought a lot about what to buy for his presents, what excuse to give him.. i send him a fake invitation card, so it won't feel so fake. did that a month before the actual surprise actually. here's the sample of it (haha) i asked for 2 days so i can roughly choose which date to celebrate. since he said he need to do at least one OT, i pick saturday & told him that they will do their solemnization and reception on separate days. clever huh? (hehe)

anyways, he actually forgot "who's wedding we're goin" & even didn't remember about the invitation card tho. but it's oki laa. anyways, after confirming the dates, i started to search for places and thinking about presents. almost everyday im looking a good deals for hotels and airbnb. in mid december i go through online to get a liverpool fbc latest jersey. im not sure if it's the latest one or not. but it writes 18/19 kit, so im assuming it's new. but before i order them, i asked Khai if it's legit. he advise me about the sizes and some other things. i finally decide to get a jersey and a cute red teddy bear (hehe) by the way, the delivery came so fast! it reached on the 15th and i ordered them on the 12. so im happy that i have settle his gift before 2019. a bit kachiong huh anah. anyways, i booked the airbnb on the 17th (yes, i was so excited that i plan so fast) okay, what else? oh yes, the decorations i bought some at bugis area party shop and bought a "it's my birthday" sash on carousell. but some of the stuffs i can't really buy them in december, so there's another list of things to do before the surprise (hehe i abit stress but it's okay, anything for my beloved syukri) && i asked a huge favor from dina, asked her to drive me places on the 12th & alhamdullillah, she's willing to help me.

it's the twelve of january. gosh it's finally here... the only thing i was afraid of is that syukri won't be surprised but it's the opposite (hehe) i woke up early at 7:45am to get ready cause i don't want to be late when dina arrives.

dina was sick before this but thank god she felt much better when we met. we rush down to simei first to collect the customize themed cupcakes from valerie (asol.sg) it's beautiful! i love everything that she bake! even though it was pink instead of red, i still love it! syukri did! so thank you valerie for your amazing talent! i contact her previously too for my engagement cake gift to syukri. she made her first YouTube channel with a first upload featuring our cake! 

after collecting the cupcakes, we filled up the gas tank first then head to plaza singapura to buy food, helium balloon, frame and also meet sadiq (sdq_skt) there. i asked him to make a portrait of us (which i asked him like 4 months back for that favour & i only pass hime the picture 3 days before the celebration.. so sorry sadiq but in the end he did a very good job at it!) after everything is almost clear in the to do list, we hurry back to the car and drive to the airbnb. guess what, the owner said they will reach at 12:15pm but they were much late.. we only started the setup at 12:45pm.. dina and i was rushing and that's not it, syuk hasn't text me yet so i assume he was still sleeping and i don't even mind if he is. but then... he texted that he's waiting for a grab.. & i panic. because i told him we meet at 1:30pm. should have just say 2pm. but anyways, i was panicking all the way back home cause i knew syukri will give me a look and it's not a great start of us first time meeting each other in 2019.. but anyways, it slowly faded and feeling much better.

so my acting begins..

i pretend to not know the location and shit then suddenly when we reach in front of the gate, i reached out for the key card to access in. i knew from this point, syukri knows something's up. then... i press the password to enter the airbnb (haha so weird at this moment cause syukri was quite quiet) BUT! when we went in, syukri was already smiling wide (i love his smile) & i said "surprise!" and things just move great. alhamdullillah.

the photos turns out great but there wasn't much photo taken. but this few is already enough and syukri is already enough for me too.

i really hope you like the presents syukri.. cause i love planning everything together for you. alhamdullillah the plan was a success! everything turn out great! i feel so relieved.. i can relived this day all over again and see syukri being so happy and shock. i put together a vlog of this day! so i can still have the little details of the making to surprise my fiancé and of course to show him too (hehe) enjoy!

anyways, the party still had to end sooner that day.. he has to get to work for OT. wished that we could spend more time together but it's oki, there's always next month (which i don't even know went but mayb a week after i came back from my bali trip, cause mai is getting engaged!)

so the day before twleve, i texted shidah if she's free to accompany me for the night and she said yest! lucky me! i don't wanna waste it, afterall i already paid to stay a night. might as well stay (hehe) both of us had fun and watch netflix all night. we should really do this staycation often. in shaa allah if there's a chance. we wore masks too and had breakfast on bed! what a life.

okay, basically that's that! i think the next time i blog a post is in febuary? bali hiatus! can't wait for my long waited break! been working to much but not enough pay (sad) (hate-love relationship)
